Xiao Yao confesses to Cang Xuan that she is not able to forfeit Tushan Jing. The King of Xiyan asks his fifth son to be in charge of the ceremony so he takes the opportunity to let Cang Xuan move the Zijin Peak.

The King of Xiyan meets assassins. The fifth and seventh king frame Cang Xuan, who is the mastermind in this matter. Xiao Xiao advises him not to go. He insists on going since he needs to keep everyone safe. Xiaoyao also accompanies him.

Cang Xuan asks for marrying Hao Shu Hui, the King of Xiyan allows it, but Nian is furious. The King orders Cang Xuan to rebuild the Daming Palace and punishes Yue Liang. The King of Haoling helps him as well.

Xiao Yao learns that Tushan Jing had been helping Cang Xuan so she kisses him excitedly, but Jing is preoccupied. They return to Qingqiu, Xiao Yao treated Mrs. Tushan, Fangfeng Yi Ying pretends to be dizzy. Fanfeng Yi Ying is pregnant.

Xiao Yao reads medical books day and night, trying to find a solution for Mrs. Tu Shan's illness. During the ceremony, the Daming Palace collapses, and the clans of the Central Plains impeach Cang Xuan.

Tushan Jing has been in a coma and is dying now. Xiao Yao is awakened by Xiang Liu and sends her back to Chenrong but he avoids her.

Cang Xuan avenges Xiao Yao and kills the murder. Xiang Liu saves Xiao Yao with his blood and spiritual power tirelessly. Finally, she regains consciousness.

Xiao Yao gets assassinated by Mu Fei whose family was completely executed by the former's biological father, Chi Chen. Tushan Jing finds and protects her body from the burning flames while he himself is injured. Xiang Liu rushes to find Xiao Yao after feeling the injuries sustained by her due to the existence of the lovers' bug in his body. Chang Xuan begins to hunt for the murderers.

Xiang Liu realize the relationship between Jing and Xiao Yao had become closer. With Xiao Yao's encouragement, Jing started playing the piano again, and the two spent sweet time together.

Xin Yue and Xiao Yao have a heart-to-heart talk. Xin Yue tells Xiao Yao about her feelings of being hostage and her dissatisfaction with Fangfeng Yi Ying. Xiao Yao knows that Fangfeng Yi Ying treats Jing badly so she pities him.

Tushan Jing rejects the marriage contract again but his grandmother insists on letting him get married with Fangfeng Yi Ying. Jing leaves angrily. Xiao Yao is reluctant to meet Jing so he begs Cang Xuan to help him.

Xiao Yao gave Cang Xuan the puppet refined from the white fox tail, and Cang Xuan advised her not to get too involved with Tushan Jing. At Xin Yue's birthday party, Xiao Yao was shocked when she saw Fangfeng Bei and pulled him away.

Xiao Yao hides Xiang Liu on the bed, scolds Shi Ran away, and feeds Xiang Liu with blood to heal his wounds. Xiao Yao wanted to give Xiang Liu the recently refined poison, but Xiang Liu left without saying.

Fenglong and Xinyue visit Cang Xuan, advising he should abandon Xiyan while dominate Chenrong. Tushan Jing explains to Xiaoyao why he doesn't send wine to her and promises that he is going to assist Cang Xuan.

Nian pretends to be a soldier to get away from Haoling and go to Xiyan to find Cang Xuan. The officials give Cang Xuan a hard time, Tushan Jing helps him. Cang Xuan meets the King of Xiyan with Nian.

Cang Xuan and Xiao Yao sweep the tomb for her mother. Cang Xuan wants to send Xiao Yao away, but Xiao Yao insists on staying with him and protecting him. Xiao Yao cannot get news from Tushan Jing for a long time, she is very angry.

Xiao Yao domineeringly enters into the town with Cang Xuan. They reminisce about their childhood at the Chaoyun Palace and also meet the King of Xiyan. Cang Xuan confesses that he wants to dominate Xiyan Mountain.

Xiao Yao and Cang Xuan go back to the palace to settle with Nian. Nian couldn't beat Xiao Yao, so he reluctantly agreed to live in peace with her.

Tushan Jing asked Cang Xuan to bring a message, and asked Xiao Yao to meet outside the Dragon Bone Prison. Xiang Liu tricks Nian and abducts Xiao Yao on her way to meet Tushan Jing.

Xiao Yao and Cang Xuan return to Wushen Mountain. The King is very pleased to see that his beautiful daughter has grown up and is healthy so he holds a banquet for her. At the banquet, Nian learns that Xiao Yao is the Princess.

Xiaoyao protects A Nian and returns to the inn, and seeks for Cang Xuan's whereabouts with Ru Shou. Xinyue finds out that the person being attacked is the flute player, so she rescues Cang Xuan. Cang conceals his identity.

Xiaoyao tells the King that she is afraid of too much restraint if she is a princess. Tushan Jing returns to Qingqiu to deal with his family affairs, bids farewell to Xiaoyao, and reminds her of the fifteen-year promise.

When Tushan Jing learns of Wen Xiao Liu's real identity, he feels inferior and uneasy. Cang Xuan asks Xiao Liu about her past. She tells them about her tragic childhood experience.

In order to prevent Xiao Liu from escaping again, Xuan ordered someone to break his legs, and put him and Tushan Jing in Dragon Bone Prison.
