While investigating the disappearance of a local journalist, Max and Miranda uncover an assassination plot at a summit being held on the island.

Miranda is forced to finally take some time off, but when a body appears near a mysterious women-only island retreat, Miranda can't help but meddle in Max's investigation by checking into the resort herself.

Miranda and Max are punished for a longstanding smuggling bust going south by being sent undercover to investigate a series of thefts at a resort. While Max is happy for the getaway, Miranda is offended by the assignment.
