Masachika is having trouble studying for exams until Alya decides to wager a favor on how well he does. When Alya discovers she wasn't invited to celebrate Masachika's birthday, she spends several days questioning just how close they actually are.

After a victory at congress, Masachika aims to capitalize, but Alya questions benefitting from Taniyama's ridicule. A confiscated book sparks shenanigans within the student council.

Ayano confronts Masachika about his decision to run against Yuki in the upcoming election. At a welcome party for new student council members, Masachika and Masha discuss their true natures.

Yuki pretends a student council task needs privacy to confess feelings for Masachika to Alya. Masachika remains all work, so Alya engineers a romantic moment.

Masachika returns home after pondering Alya's confession. The next day, he aims to make Alya student council president but finds himself increasingly distracted by her despite his attempts.

Alya is sent by the student council to mediate a conflict between the soccer and baseball teams about the use of the school fields. When the conflict comes to a standstill, Masachika saves the day and makes an important promise to Alya.

Masachika Kuze recalls her first encounter with Alya in the classroom at the start of the year, and how they became friends. Kuze is also introduced to Alyas younger sister, Yuki, and her love of legendary artist Tupac Shakur.

Masachika organizes a storage room with Alya and his childhood friend Yuki. Grateful, the student council president offers to treat them with a meal.
